Redwater Dragon Band shines!
Six of our students auditioned for the Region 4 Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-Region Jazz Band on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Redwater ISD is thrilled to announce Rhyan Latham (2nd chair trumpet) and Reid Hatridge (5th chair trumpet) both made the band.
Rhyan also earned the opportunity to advance to the Area C Jazz Band audition for a chance to advance to the ATSSB All-State Jazz Band.
We want to congratulate the other auditioning Dragons:
- Cherry Crump - 2nd chair bass guitar
- Maxwell Walker - 3rd chair guitar
- Peyton Owen - 8th chair alto sax
- Isabel Canto - 9th chair trombone
These students gave impressive performances and showed incredible skill.
These students competed against musicians from across Northeast Texas, mastering four challenging jazz etudes. Rhyan & Reid will now join the All-Region Jazz Band clinic & concert on Dec. 5–6, 2025.
