Coach Haydon

My name is Michael Haydon and I am starting my 3rd year at Redwater.  I will be teaching 9th grade World Geography as well as coaching football, basketball, and baseball.  My world revolves around my family.  I have been married to my wonderful wife Rebecca for 8 years and we have a gorgeous daughter, Jenny, who just started kindergarten at New Boston  where my wife works.  I also have a twin brother, Jon, who is a police sergeant at Fayetteville PD in Fayetteville, Arkansas.   My other siblings include Chellie Longstreth and Ginger Haydon.  Together my siblings have given me 4 nieces and 4 nephews.  I have a large family and I love every second I get to spend with them.  When I am not working or with family my hobbies include being a diehard STL Cardinals fan, collecting baseball memorabilia, playing cornhole, bowling, golf, and watching Arkansas and OU sporting events.  I am from Bryant, Arkansas and my wife is from Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I am a graduate from Ouachita Baptist University where I played baseball and majored in Kinesiology.  After college I was blessed with the opportunity to coach baseball at the University of Arkansas Little Rock where I received my Masters in Sports Management.  After that I went on to be the recruiting coordinator/outfield coach/assistant coach at Henderson State University for 4 years.  When my daughter was born we made the decision to get into High School coaching and to move to Texas.  I was head baseball coach at Pewitt for 2 years, assistant at Dekalb for a year, and now happily at Redwater where I can honestly say I am HOME.  GO DRAGONS!
